Krajowy System e-Faktur (KSeF) is Poland's national e-invoicing system, and it is already mandatory: since 1 February 2026 for businesses whose 2024 sales including tax exceeded PLN 200 million, and since 1 April 2026 for everyone else. Get compliant with GoRoute.ai.
Poland's KSeF mandate is in force. Here is how it arrived and who each stage covers.
KSeF opened for voluntary use. Early adopters began testing.
Ministry postponed mandatory launch to address technical issues.
B2B issuance through KSeF became compulsory for businesses whose 2024 sales including tax exceeded PLN 200 million.
The same obligation extended to every other business, whatever its turnover. This second stage is B2B, not a consumer one.
Moving a Peppol estate onto KSeF? The sprint-by-sprint path, the FA(3) transform and the clearance round trip are in the KSeF migration guide.
Full integration with Poland's Krajowy System e-Faktur platform.
Automatic conversion to the Polish FA(3) XML invoice schema, the version KSeF has required since the mandate began.
Support for 23%, 8%, 5%, and 0% VAT rates with proper coding.
Automatic NIP (Polish Tax ID) validation and verification.
Both deadlines have passed. Get KSeF compliant now with GoRoute.ai.

KSeF (Krajowy System e-Faktur) is Poland's National e-Invoice System. It's a centralized government platform where all B2B invoices must be submitted and stored. Each invoice receives a unique KSeF number for tracking.
KSeF is already mandatory. The Ministry of Finance set two dates: 1 February 2026 for businesses whose 2024 sales including tax exceeded PLN 200 million, and 1 April 2026 for every other business. Both are in force, so a Polish B2B invoice issued today has to go through KSeF.
KSeF requires invoices in the Polish FA(3) XML schema. FA(3) replaced FA(2) on 1 February 2026, the day the first mandate wave started; the Ministry of Finance published the structure on 25 June 2025. It is a Poland-specific structured format, different from EU Peppol. GoRoute.ai automatically converts your invoices to it via our REST API.
Both waves have passed, so the work is a catch-up rather than a project with a runway. The sequence is the same one early adopters used: get KSeF authorisation credentials, map your invoices to the Polish XML schema, prove the round trip in the Ministry of Finance test environment, then switch production over — the KSeF migration guide sets it out sprint by sprint. Confirm your own position on penalties and any transitional easement against the Ministry of Finance directly, because those rules are set by the authority and change independently of your software.
