The accreditation in one sentence

GoRoute — the trading name of ClayDesk LLC, OpenPeppol Service Provider ID POP000991 — is an accredited Peppol service provider for Australia, listed on the Australian Taxation Office's Peppol service provider register, with testbed conformance passed for PINT A-NZ Billing invoices, credit notes and A-NZ self-billing. Two details in that row are worth understanding rather than glossing over. The listed name is ClayDesk LLC, not GoRoute — GoRoute.ai is the platform, ClayDesk LLC is the OpenPeppol member that holds the accreditation, and the register lists members. The home Peppol Authority is OpenPeppol, not the ATO. The ATO's own accreditation process sets out two routes onto the Australian register: providers whose home Peppol Authority is Australia, and providers whose home authority sits elsewhere but who want to operate in Australia. We are the second kind. The register carries no accreditation dates for anyone, so we quote none.

What was accredited

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) is Australia's Peppol Authority: it sets the accreditation requirements that apply in Australia, and accredits the Access Point and SMP service providers that operate on the network here. GoRoute's accreditation covers the profiles that matter for Australian trade today.

• PINT A-NZ Billing — the invoice and credit note transactions.
• A-NZ self-billing — where the buyer raises the invoice on the supplier's behalf.

These are the current mandatory profiles. Since 15 May 2025 the legacy A-NZ (ANZ Peppol BIS) profiles are no longer supported — PINT A-NZ only — so passing the testbed against the PINT A-NZ artefacts is what counts. What it means for Australian customers

Accreditation is a signal of trust. The ATO vets each provider against a technical and operational bar before it can carry live traffic on the Australian network. Sending through an accredited Australian Peppol service provider means:

• Your invoices are exchanged as valid PINT A-NZ documents, not a wrong-profile variant that fails at the receiver.
• You are connecting through a provider the tax authority recognises, which matters when you supply Commonwealth or state government buyers.
• The directory (SMP) registration that lets counterparties find you is handled by an accredited party.

The trans-Tasman next step

Australia and New Zealand jointly govern PINT A-NZ (ATO plus New Zealand's MBIE) and run a joint trans-Tasman approach. One accredited provider can serve both countries through mutual recognition.

GoRoute is separately pursuing New Zealand mutual accreditation with MBIE. For trans-Tasman traders, that is the point: one integration, one accredited provider, both markets — rather than a separate connector on each side of the Tasman.

The obligations we take on

Accreditation is not a one-off badge. The Australian Peppol Authority reviews every accredited provider annually, and the review is the same for all of us:

• Due-diligence checks run by the Australian Peppol Authority.
• Evidence of a current professional indemnity policy of at least A$1 million per occurrence.
• Continued adherence to the A-NZ eInvoicing security requirements, including completing section A of the A-NZ eInvoicing Security Questionnaire and refreshing the supporting evidence where it has aged.
• Notifying the Authority of changes to the business or product environment.

Those obligations sit on top of the practices GoRoute already runs: ISO/IEC 27001:2022-aligned information security and ISO 22301:2019-aligned business continuity, so the security and continuity discipline was already in place.

What we did not change

The underlying integration is the same REST API GoRoute customers already use. Accreditation adds Australian recognition and the PINT A-NZ testbed conformance; it does not fork the product into a separate Australian stack. You map your data once, validate against the PINT A-NZ artefacts, and exchange over the four-corner network — with Australia handled as part of a wider programme.

A readiness checklist for AU suppliers

• [ ] Confirm you need to send or receive e-invoices for your buyers (government or private).
• [ ] Connect through an ATO-accredited Australian Peppol service provider.
• [ ] Ensure your documents are PINT A-NZ, not legacy A-NZ or European BIS.
• [ ] Register your participant identifier in the SMP so counterparties can find you.
• [ ] If you trade across the Tasman, plan for mutual recognition rather than a second provider.
